I'm a big fan of historical fiction mostly because it transports you into another era and time. The rawness and realness have always spoken to me. Looks like this book promises to offer me all of this and more. Coupled with the thriller scope, I honestly can't wait to delve into this new world. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

War stories are usually scary and extremely suspenseful. The characters you love end up on the wrong side of the war. But that's where the story takes a thrilling turn, as they must navigate danger and make difficult choices to survive. The intense action and emotional turmoil keep readers on the edge of their seats until the very end. I am not a fan of war novels, but I find this particular one to be worth reading due to its gripping plot and well-developed characters. Great review.

A Fine Line by David Gilbertson is a novel comprised of four books set in Britain between 1850 and 1918.A story of the extraordinary lives of ordinary people.
Set between Victorian Liverpool and Dundee and the battlefields of the First World War, three families face the perils of life on the economic cliff-edge, where a single misstep can send lives plunging out of control.
Crossing a century of dramatic change, their journey begins in the aftermath of the slave trade, moving through the era of Empire expansion and Industrial Revolution to a time of religious strife and global conflict.
The world they navigate is one fraught with hazard in which exploitation, zealotry and violence lead to rape, prostitution, fraud, and murder.
At its heart, two indomitable women - lifelong friends - choose very different paths as they strive to hold their worlds together, and to survive.

Interesting concept of putting 4 books in 1 and quite intriguing how they complicate and complete each other. The time period described pinpoints the influence Britain had over the world then, but narrows on specific people and the lives they lead. Thanks for your recommendation and congratulations with BOTD!
