Ordinarily I wouldn't think to read this book, let alone the genre, but your review has peaked my interest. The plot reminds me of Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children if you remove everything otherworldly. Thank you, great review!

Reliving history takes a whole new meaning in this book as the character literally goes back in history and gets a feel of life during his grandfather's time. Interesting plot and review

I enjoy this general premise and the time travel element adds a unique twist, as typically these stories are written through a recounting of memories. Glad to read that the characters seem to be well crafted and go through personal growth during the course of the story!

I like this review and it makes me think of all of the things that my grandfather sent to me before he died. My favorite of his possessions were two rings that he had. I have a box full of memories just like the author and I have pictures of him during the war. I love that this book allows the reader to travel back in time to experience what John's grandfather experienced. My favorite part about the story is the randomness of the objects and how the smallest things can have the greatest memories attached to them.

This sounds like such a sweet story! I love the idea of travelling back into the past and actually living and getting to know your ancestors' pasts. I've always wondered about them and what their lives looked like. Great review!

Sounds like an interesting book. It's true that people don't live forever. Making the most of the time we have with them is what matters.

I love the stories of the old told by my grannies. Nice review.

I got my copy today, and wasn't too sure if it was for me, but your review turned that around somewhat. I like the idea of time travel in this scenario. I'm a fan of time travel in general, and this story is intriguing. My grandmother told me many stories, and I would've loved to have been able to be there with her during her time. I miss her dearly. Thank you for the review!
