Historical fiction my all time genre. I would really love to read the book and find out if Colonel Johnny was rescued by his friends from the bandits. Great review!

Kidnapping, theft, murder, and MI6 operatives, all in the backdrop of the jungles of Malaya sounds like an excellent way to conclude the trilogy.

Thanks for a great review I will really enjoy the action in the book I have already created imaginary images of the people in the story. I think I will have to read it in series.

Thank you for your interesting review. I like historical adventure novels. But I think I would want to read the books in this series in order. I'll keep this one on my list and look for book one first.

such a great review, it made me want to read this action-packed historical adventure. i'm quite sure that i would love it. i like reading a series from the beginning but the book can stand on its own so i don't mind giving it a try first.

Am not usually a fan of historical fiction. Though I love adventure stories, this one doesn't appeal to me. Thanks for the review.

Political intrigue, kidnapping, theft and murder in a jungle setting. Friends willing to risk themselves to save one of their circle. Part of a trilogy that works well as a standalone. Sounds like a perfect setup for a successful historical adventure. Great review.

This is a series I want to start. The fact that this final installment is set in Asia is a plus. I am eager to join Jamie, Jacko and Sarah in rescuing Colonel Cook.

Thanks for the exciting review.

Your review was quite engaging. I particularly appreciated that you noted the touches of humour in the book as well as the different dialects of the narrative.

Historical fiction isn't really my thing. The story seems really interesting though, and I think fans of historical fiction will have fun with it. Nice review.

Normally I like historical fiction especially since there is a murder mystery element. However WW II is not my favorite historical period so I think i will skip this novel. Thanks for the review.

In as much as it is a trilogy, it is a great thing that it stands alone as well. Wonder how the law enforcement will burst the kidnapping ring.

I have read only the sample of the first book and thought it was interesting. This one sounds like it will be the same. It's on my list to read. Thanks for your review.

I like that the dialects of the characters were kept true to form and easy to visualize in this story. Sounds like an adventurous read. Great review!
