This historical novel looks interesting. It is set in a time when Korea was under the rule of Japan. It seems attractive to lovers of historical fiction.

Your review is very well structured and it displays a high level of experience, so well done. The book seems interesting and engaging, as I like historical fiction novels about the Korean War. I will take a look at the sample of this book and decide if I want to read it. Thank you for the honest and informative review!

Despite not being a fan of historical fiction, this sounds like an informative book on the history of Korea. Nice review though.

Having encountered this book today, through the BOTD scheme, I realised how little I know about that far - to me - part of the world. I was already keen on reading it for that sole reason. But now, having read your review, I have upped this book's position on my shelves. It sounds like a really worthwhile way to learn a thing or two!

Thank you for such a professionally written, insightful, and inviting review!

This sounds like a great book. Korean History whether fiction or not, it is very insightful in understanding the culture, the amalgamation from the Japanese and inheriting their true culture. Only recently did I find out there was a distinction between the two cultures. I believe this books is very insightful to do just that.

The themes in this historical fiction novel seems powerful and thought-provoking. I rarely ever encounter a historical fiction on Korean history, so I might give this book a try.

The rich cultural background and history this novel has to offer might make up for the slow pace and abrupt ending. Thanks for the insightful review!

The points of concern in the novel that you pointed out are partly explained by the author choice of writing style. I think that the author wanted to leave her audience on a cliff-hanger, so to speak because she wants audiences to come out of the novel still thinking about it long afterwards. She wanted readers to look at their own lives through the eyes of the characters and the history of Korea.

'Official Review: The Vanished' by Pejay Bradley well focuses on the minute details of the historical fiction! It is informative and emphasizes the theme of the book of fighting for freedom! The sub-topics of the story have been brought to the knowledge of avid readers! The economic rating given to the book makes the read challenging! Nice to learn that the story is engaging and worthwhile!

This historical novel tells of Korea's fight for freedom from Japanese rule. I know very little about Korean life and think this sounds like a fascinating story. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

I love historical fiction. Since I know very little about Korean history, this seems like a book I would like to read.

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead...The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
