The book sounds like a good read, Baby Doe was a remarkable lady of her time to challenge the tradition of treating women as inferior to men (where women were dominated and abused). Thank you for the review.

Elizabeth sure did go through a lot in her life. I see that this is a true story of one whose passion for justice is indescribable. I am looking forward to reading this book. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

I'm a fan of historical fiction, and I like reading stories about strong women. I would to know more about how Baby Doe fought for her rights in the era when women were under looked. Congrats on the BOTD.

The author seemed to have done extensive research for this book. Baby Doe's story is very inspiring, especially to women. She defied the odds in a time when women were expected to be followers and leaders.

I could see trouble coming from the first sentence of your review. This book sounds like it could make your blood boil with what women had to go through during this time period, particularly the higher standards women were held to compared to men. On the other hand, I can really see this being a women's empowerment book, highlighting perseverance - if she could do it then, you can do it now. Thank you for a great review!

"Gold Digger: The Remarkable Baby Doe Tabor" by Rebecca Rosenberg, tells the story of a strong, hardworking, and self-sufficient woman, and when she became a social pariah, she stood her ground. Congrats to the author on being the #BOTD!

Awesome review. I've always found reading women-centered stories to be interesting, amazing, and encouraging to a 21st female like me, and today I've been introduced to Baby Doe, an amazing woman who has the courage to stand out and break societal expectations towards women.

A historical fiction novel with a strong female protagonist that focuses on times of the Westerners. I do love historical fiction novels but not romance.

I haven't heard about this legend. When I heard the title of the book, I was thinking about a gold digger (you know what I mean). I didn't imagine Baby Doe was such a beautiful character. This revelation is enough to make one read the book to explore her event filled life. Congratulations on BOTD.

This seems to be an exciting book. Baby Doe does not let other people dictate how she lives her life. Gold Digger, The Remarkable Baby Doe Tabor" by Rebecca Rosenberg is an excellent historical fiction book based on a real-life story in 1800. I'm recommending it to lovers of fictional books. Thanks for the review.

This book sounds like some excellent historical fiction. You can’t get much more accurate than scenes based on Baby Doe’s own diary entries. Of course, I’m always up for a book with a female protagonist who is strong for her time. Thank you for the helpful review.

Gold digger

Old time orca biblical account of prostitution, hold ups and period costume. No fan of westerns in Colorado. Pay the rent.
