The friendship of Etta and Victoria as their two countries fought each other is a fascinating plot in the novel and I am looking forward to digging into this one to know how the two conspired to save people amid the danger.

The book sounds really interesting as any book about World War II especially the ones based on real facts. At the same time the book describes a lot of violence and atrocities performed by the Nazis towards Polish women and for that reason I think the book is not for me. Still the book tells us the story about friendship, survival, and courage in the face of persecution so it will definitely find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This story or what I eReader of it makes me feel sad immediately and sort of forlorn. I know not actual FACTS about WWII so much as the common knowledge about the horrors and atrocities perpetrated on the polish, jews, men, women, children, human beings. Mental and physical abuses that are unimaginable make reading any story such as Victoria's War and others difficult to find any "feel good" bits but I know the author has tried. I probably would not be able to finish this book because emotionally I'm not up to it. I suffer from PTSD and other comorbidities that make this type of read difficult if not impossible for me to endeavor. Sorry but it is what it is.

'Official Review: Victoria's War' by Catherine A. Hamilton serves as a good background to the story of the condition of Polish women during the Second World War for readers! The character of the protagonist of the story has been laid enough emphasis upon in the review! The point that the author includes historically accurate descriptions of the Nazis' treatment of their prisoners is worth mentioning in the review! It was enlightening for me to learn about the author's passion for her fellow countrymen in the review! The review provides the readers with a clear glimpse of the story of the book!

The Nazi regime was a horrible group of people. Historical fiction books like this one show how in spite of the heinous crimes committed by Nazis hope and determination persevered by those who were abused. Great review!

The story is touching, to put it mildly. Well, I love the way Victoria expressed herself in the face of hardship. If you ask me, she would be satisfied she registered a courageous disaproval of things she couldn't change.Great review!

As a huge fan of historical fiction, I look forward to reading this book. It's easier sometimes to turn a blind eye to the past horrors of these dark periods of history, but it's so important for us to be knowledgable about the past and to commemorate the heroism of those that were so strong and courageous during those times. Thank you for this excellent review.

I remember I used to be obsessed with anything to do with WWII, but I never came across a book about the Poles during that time. I sadly find they are often overlooked, so I will definitely be checking this book out. The story of Victoria and Etta is extremely sad - I hope I won't cry too much with this book. Thanks for the review.

This story is so tragic and sad. To know that things like this have happened in the world is troubling. I applaud the author for the painstaking research for this historical fiction. Great review!

'Victoria's War' seems to be a powerful read, and your review expresses how vividly the author has written of the war, I'd love to try this one!

Interesting yet deep, it is a great story of women who despite their struggles and hurt, they still fight to lift others ahead of themselves. This is definitely a must read. Thanks for a great review!

Am not really into reading historical fiction. But this looks like a splendid read for those that are into this genre.
