A historical fiction novel that focuses on the rise of mafia bosses within Vegas. I like to hear stories of how the mafia rose to power.

Historical fiction is not on my top list of genres, however there are some great ones out there and I get the feeling this is one of them. The excessive use of the "f" word is not an issue to me and taking that's its mafia related I can understand why the author used it so much. I like the word 'faction' it's so descriptive! Well done on an excellent review.

Knowing very little about Brownsville in this book's time period, I'm really curious about exploring more with this "faction" book.

I like historical fiction and mafia related books.
This review is written nicely and described properly and the word faction makes me look into this book. The plot might be nice but the level of profanity is very high.
Congrats on BOTD.

Thank you for a wonderful review. From the sample, I didn't really get involved with the story. I don't usually care for mafia stories or swearing just for the reason of swearing. And that's an awful lot of swearing. I am glad you liked the book and it was edited well. I'm glad you enlightened us on all of the issues.

The cover is simple, it doesn't seem striking to me; however, I find it interesting that the book is described as a mix between fiction and fact. Brownsville seems to be a place rich in history. Thanks for the review.

From the review, I doubt the book will interest me, though it is obvious the writer did a good job in his write-up. However, congratulations on the book of the day and a satisfactory review.

The “faction” modality is indeed intriguing. Especially when you mentioned that the author penned this story with multiple POV’s— 8 at that, to the point that it’s hard to identify which one really is the protagonist. Also, I find it hilarious that the author searched up how many F word did he wrote in his book, so I will definitely give his book a try. Great review!

The title of the book seems catchy but I don't like the names of the characters and am not a fan of the book plot so I will pass. Congratulations on BOTD!!!

The summary of this review is interesting and captivating, the word "faction" by the author, does it still regards to historical fiction? It's nice to see that the author's perspective differs. Congrats on BOTD!

With a very unique and interesting book cover, this historical fiction book talks about events that took place about 5 decades ago. It is an interesting book with understandable characters. This is an enjoyable book.

This book sounds interesting just for the historical era it covers. I like that it follows Jewish characters during this time period since it seems that we don’t often see fiction about Jewish people in America immediately following World War II, and we only ever see Italian involvement with organized crime. This could make for a compelling read, swearing and all. Thank you for the helpful review.

This book seems like the history of a town and I guess the F words were needed to properly showcase the town and it's characters. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.
