Many stories and so many speculations about Jesus. Looks like this book is one of them.
Arthur did careful research of available literature but again it depends how you interpret that !!!
Jesus's relationship with Magdalene is always point of debate . so is the case in this book.
overall, it's a good read if you are interested in history and curious to read a different perspective.

The different take on the origins of Christianity with ties to Cleopatra and Julius Caesar caught my attention. As someone not well-versed in Christianity, I'm intrigued to see how the author explores this unconventional narrative. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this book.

The Incarnation

I enjoyed reading historical/biblical events about Mary Magdalene and Cleopatra. I found this read interesting because there were events that took olace that I had never heard of, especially with a small background in theology along with being a pastor’s wife. This read was easy to follow and educational for any genre.

As a non-Christian, I doubt if I'd be able to grasp the book well since I have little to no knowledge about the Apostle Paul and the Gospel of Thomas.

However, from the reviewer's insights, the book seems like one of a kind. If I get the opportunity to, I'd love to read it.

The author's attention to historical and geographical details, along with solid references, contributes to a well-structured story. While the alternate version may be a stretch for some readers, the book's underlying message about the Kingdom of God adds a heartwarming dimension. Overall, it seems like a thought-provoking and well-researched novel.

The author is right about being careful so not to give away spoilers in the case of telling a completely different story of Jesus and l will not comment much but l so want to read more to arrive at the same understanding point with the writer.

This seems to be an interesting fictional book. The author's discussion of other aspects of the story of Jesus seems hilarious to me. However, as attractive as it looks, I will pass this one by. Thanks for the review.

"The Incarnation" by Arthur Telling boldly challenges conventional beliefs, spinning a controversial tale where Mary Magdalene is linked to Julius Caesar and Cleopatra, sharing a relationship with Jesus. Telling blends ancient Egypt, reincarnation, and the post-WWII discovery of the Gospel of Thomas. While the narrative challenges traditional views, it offers a thought-provoking take on Christianity's origins. The book's bold ideas, though surprising to some, create a unique journey for open-minded readers exploring an alternative version of Jesus' life.

I'm not familar with Christian scriptures; however, I have a basic understanding of what Christian's believe, and what piqued my curiosity reading the review is that the Gospel of Thomas does not mention crucifixion of Jesus and that the book consist of a complete different story of Jesus.

Historical fiction usually has some factual basis and some fanciful or even straightforward, even playful ideas laid out for the readers pleasure. ‘The Incarnation" by Arthur Telling weaves the Gospel of Thomas, Cleopatra, Caesar, Mary Magladan, the apostle Paul and Jesus all together. A bold premise and one that could prove exciting to read. The wonderful review of this book really piqued my interest in this story.

Despite its unconventional take on Christian history, "The Incarnation" earns praise for its well-structured chapters, thorough references, and insightful exploration of Paul's journeys and letters. The book's depiction of the cultural and political landscapes enriches the narrative, offering a thought-provoking perspective on the Kingdom of God for those willing to embrace an unorthodox interpretation. Nice review.
