Refugee on a Pendulum by Jemil Metti truly conveys the meaning of being a refugee and how their lives oscillate from one place to another.

The tale seems captivating, but the names of the characters appear to be a bit complex. That said, the review is awesome!

This book is indeed going to be a good read for me. The way fate unwinds can be very surprising, and I believe that the course of events can be easily changed. I love the storyline. Thanks for your honest review.

Rarely do we come across books on war with strong female characters. I shall check this out, thanks for the wonderful review.

An eavesdropping incident on a sensitive matter by Sabah had resulted to a tainted friendship with Jalal that forged an agreement between Al Anee, Jalal's father and Salwan, Sabah"s father. To be lifted if Sabah and his father are proven innocent and they were innocent. I got a total idea what the book is about just reading the sample and your clearly shared review. Thanks.

Jalal's life as a refugee would have been grueling. Refugees are always the most affected people wherever they reside. They are bombarded with so many various issues. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

The book sounds intriguing, but I am not a fan of war stories; therefore, I would pass.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction about two teenagers from Mosul, Iraq. One of which flees to America due to political unrest in Iraq where he trains to be a doctor and then returns to the Middle East to join Doctors without Borders and serve in a hospital in Jordan. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

This historical fiction book is narrated from the third-person perspective and it seems to contain a lot of suspense and action, but it also talks about espionage and politics. I liked the fact that there are strong female characters in this book too. Thanks for the review!

The characters do sound strong. While I have read quite a few books similar to this one, it seems different. The review was good, but I should have stopped reading. Many may not agree, but there are parts of the story revealed I wish had not been. Discovery is part of the adventure.

Thank you so much for your very cleverly written and detailed review. You brought out the right parts to get us interested.
I however, will not be reading the whole book, due to the language and the violence. I’m sure it is very good though.
