I love historical fiction and can easily see how a book about true love, friendships, and relationships during the Romanian communist rule would be amazing.

Very nice review. I enjoyed reading this sample. The plot was strong and the characters intriguing and lifelike. I really liked the story line. Suffice, it to say, I would love to keep reading to find out what happened to Jenica. How did his friends handle his disappearance? Did they go looking for him? The era also adds a nice touch to the story. Kudos to the author on a well-written piece and for making it to BOTD.

This is quite an intriguing Historical fiction novel. I found the characters interesting and am curious who the mysterious woman is who wants to speak to the President of Romania, and why. I liked the way the story started with a little drama, and then skipped back a year in time to start unfolding the plot line. Thanks for a good review on this book.

I really enjoyed reading this novel. The pdf zooming didn’t bother me as much, but probably because I was so engrossed in the story! The level of friendship between the 4 main characters is something that readers can only dream of. They fought for years to find and save their friend from the communist party. Highly recommend!

The themes of this intriguing fictional story seem fascinating, and they revolve around the search for a missing friend who is suspected to involve in secret activities, and I would like to know how this mysterious aspect of the story solves.

This book has an intriguing setting and compelling mystery. It sounds especially heart-racing since these teen detectives, given the time and place they’re living in, are facing very real consequences by looking into this mystery, and Jenica himself could be in very real danger. Thank you for the helpful review.

Thank you for another great review. While I do enjoy some mysteries, I'm not that big of a fan for wartime books. Right now I'm in the mood for much lighter reads. It does sound very suspenseful with lots of twists and turns as you stated in your review. I'm sure many others will enjoy this well-edited book.
