I’ve read about the great Sioux war before but with a female protagonist and I loved it. I’ll love to read about a male protagonists this time.

I said this when first book from the series reached BOTD and still have same opinion that without a doubt this book must be added to the library of every historical fiction fan, because there is nothing not to like. Sound premise, interesting setting, excellent characters and emotion provoking content. Thanks again for great review and congrats!

Wonderful review! I just love stories of people managing to forge friendships despite overwhelming odds. Plus, stories set in the western US always capture my interest. I'm looking forward to reading this one.

Today's BOTD is a historical fiction novel that details the events that led to the Great Sioux War. Complete with maps and illustrations, readers will be filled with emotion as they are transported back in time and experience life alongside the characters. This sounds like an important story; I'm glad it's today's feature BOTD. Thank you for your helpful review! :-)

I could tell from your tone that you thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I like historical fiction because it builds the reader's cognitive capacity by imagining events, and understanding history. Well done for this wonderful review.

Thank you for the review. I agree with the reviewer that novels like this one will help keep history alive. It places focus on Native American history and the battles they fought to protect their home, culture and land. The author has done a great job in providing accurate maps and illustrations throughout the book from his extensive research. Congrats on BOTD.

The book sounds interesting with lots of adventures and exciting historical events. It will also be interesting to find out more about the connection Joshua and Shadow Hawk had - two people with different social and cultural backgrounds. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
