I also feel as though John would be an awesome, successful fighter. It's always advisable to do you, as long as you isn't illegal or immoral. I became interested as I read about John and how he worked tirelessly to achieve success. John's life is what I would call a journey of hope if I were to give it a name. This book was written beautifully by the author. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I admired John's ascent from the streets to the palace due to his dedication to being a successful professional fighter. I've learned from reading this book that your passion and drive for success are more important than your background. While you cannot change your place of birth, you may decide who or what you will become in the future. Despite his humble upbringing, John was tenacious and determined to succeed.

“Ambitions” by Frank Baillargeon is a story about a young man named John that quit school and went to work to help his parents, Irish immigrants, feed their family. John went to work but spent his free time with his gang members. John became a very good street fighter and he decided to make fighting his career. Will hard work lead to success? Did he become a professional fighter? Did he make it to the big-time fighting arena? One must read the book to learn what happens to John and his family. Good review.
