The sample chapters in what I read, was a little boring to my liking. When I read from the starting and was a bit confused on how the story started then I continue to read I realized that is was about someone who experience the war life . While he was thinking about his family ,but his family left him when they found out he was alive , I felt that hurt and like how they give a little bit of his past. How he met someone he hasn't seen in a while . I believe that the rest of the story will show how over come his past. I am not a war readers but I still enjoy the sample

I enjoyed reading this review because it accurately reflects the story, character backgrounds, and reasons for a 5 out of 5 rating. This review makes me want to continue reading this book after reading the sample because I now know it will continue on being an amazing read. I think this review is well written and explains the books in enough detail for you to decide if this book would suit you and to get you hooked on it. I would love to continue reading this book and continue Kelly's journey through life after being rescued by the military.

A romance with complications of a soldier’s life and attendant problems, "Saving KC" by Grinnell Desjarlais, is a well-edited and interesting account of the life of Kelly. Kelly has a dark side after being in the military and also developed problems with alcohol, yet comes through it all with unexpected events and chance meetings. Some interesting details of the South-eastern Asian Indian life are included. A well-edited book!
Thank you for the great review.

:To oto 12.
this a reply to one of the viewers you are absolutely right on that point that; Kelly truly made an accomplishment to his life goals, ambition and inspiration: for the fact that he could not, and did not, and would not give up on life nor love that is amazing.

I thought the first couple of paragraphs were a bit slow, but once I got past them into the story, I was engaged. A great romance novel as well as a history lesson about Indian tribes and reservations in California and Montana. I also was fascinated by the realistic historical look at what being a POW was like during the Vietnam era.

I like romance fiction so I'm adding this to my bookshelf! I'm fascinated with the creativity of the plot, how the story is not focused on being entirely romantic but also the protagonist's personal struggles with abuse and alcohol, which is inspiring!! Thankyou for the wonderful review!!

Since I am incredibly romantic I know I would enjoy this story very much. Finding love, no matter how difficult you life has been, is the most important reason to live for me.
Also the idea of soldiers and the struggles they most overcome is incredible fascinating. They are people way stronger than I can even imagine, physical and specially mentally.

This review took me through a journey of a soldier's life after facing the horrors of being captivity. I liked the part where he found love again and it gave his life a new meaning after what Kelly had gone through. Congrats to the author.

I am very excited on reading the review. I find it special that Kelly found the strength and power to reestablish his life after going through so much. War is never ending sorrow and destructive; it is so nice that Kelly found love again. He was saved in many ways

A phenomenal romance novel "Saving KC" by Grinnell Desjarlais, which follows the life of a resilient man, Kelly. Kelly’s initial California experience was centered around him falling in love with Rita.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

“Saving KC” by Grinnell Desjarlais is a romance novel about a very resilient man named Kelly. As a young boy he dreamed about moving to California. On his first visit to CA he fell in love with Rita and their families became friends. Kelly grew up and joined the Army and went missing on a mission. He was rescued several years later but was severely traumatized while held captive. The abuse he suffered took a tremendous toll on his life. His drinking problem almost ended fatally. Fortunately, Kelly found love again and this gave him the will to live. A well-written book that members should enjoy. Very good review.

Love truly makes the world goes around. Whether Kelly reconnects with Rita or a new love, I cannot wait to go on this journey that's all about self-discovery. The military aspect is going to take readers deep into the mind of individuals who are serving our country and how they cope with it all. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

What Lily craved was the darkness made by enfolding arms, the silence which is not solitude, but compassion holding its breath.

The fact that Kelly was such a strong character to endure torture and confinement, is a testament of human will. Your review hinted that the romance would be well portrayed. Congratulations on the BOTD.

The review helps understand the point and genre of this novel, since the sample is focused on gruesome descriptions of the main character's trauma. This seems like a heartfelt romance novel which details challenges faced by Vietnam war POWs and their trauma and whether the main character could overcome it. I found a couple of spelling errors in the sample, so it's not perfectly edited.
