It's seems a amazing action adventure fiction, and I will love to read this book like this despite of the fact that it's quiet lengthy.

I read the free Amazon abstract and here are my thoughts.
First, the dream is a very fuzzy one like it’s describe. There is no connection about it in the book or with the life of the main character. I hope this is something that later in the book will be like explain.
Second, how the main characters thoughts are being expressed. In my opinion, the change of view points can be a bit confusing however, the third point of view to first is not very prominent in this case. But not my choice of preference.
Finally, it needs to have a table of content and the name of the characters in the begging of a chapter because it’s confusing not putting it. In the case of grammar, I did not notice much of that, I was paying more attention to other things.

The gripping plot, cinematic feel, and unexpected reveals in Not What Meets the Eye has piqued my interest. I'm excited to join Antosha on her expedition to the Lost City and discover the secrets that await.

A pretty good review, it describes the book well. I found the work engrossing -- the book could have been much shorter
than 700 pages, I'm sure, but on the other hand the evocative and detailed descriptions that set the scene for each action pulled me into the story and help propel me through it. So -- many extra words but put to good use, at least in the segment that I read. A very interesting depiction of a world very close to our own, yet obviously different, and a mystery that grabbed my attention. Unlike the reviewer, I found numerous editorial glitches in the sample -- so many that I wondered if it had gone through a final edit. But the story itself was solid, and one that I'm interested in reading to the end.

Very engrossing and suspenseful! I love the interaction between Anotsha and Nathious. This story has a wonderfully magical feel. Despite the tragic way her parents died. I enjoyed the sample, I agree, it would make great fantasy movie. After reading your review I am anxious to read further. I find it well written. The main characters descriptions make see them as beautiful and handsome as well as determined. An exciting adventure. Congratulations on BOTD :) :) :)

I only read the sample of this book, but I agree that the writing style has simple and easy-to-understand language. And I, too, liked the pacing of the book, and I'm glad you stated it has good pacing throughout. I hadn't realized the book was quite so long, so thank you for disclosing the length. Great review!

The author's narration at the beginning of the story was excellent. Although a dream, the scene in the jungle and the horrifying experience of the little girl felt very real and strangely connected to Antosha's real past. I found the author's writing style to be very engaging. Congrats on the BOTD!

The book introduces two main characters: Antosha, an archeologist, and Nathious, a warrior. Both with different stories came to cross paths with each other when Antosha was invited to an expedition to the Lost City.

Not What Meets the Eye by Matrika Hay seems like an interesting and adventurous book. The first part focuses on an archeologist by the name of Antosha, and the second part on a warrior with many secrets by the name of Nathious.
