great review! with such positive words, there's no way that i'm going to miss this one though i'm not looking forward to getting frustrated as well when i reach that cliffhanger especially if it's as great as it sounds.

Outstanding review! After I read the sample I wasn't really sure it was a book for me. Your review definitely shined a different light on the matter. Mystery, secret societies and treasure hunting I am sure will make for a great read. Thank you so much for your review.

I was interested in this book, feeling as though it would be another of the like of "The Da Vinci Code" (too predictable). But, a single line in your review saved it for me: "who are looking for an intelligent and complicated but satisfying story." That's me. Thank you for your great review!

Thanks for the review! I do not enjoy reading historical fiction books. I will have to pass on this. It does look like a good read though for people who like historical fiction books!

So many historical novels, especially ones that are also in the romance genre, are mostly fluff. So hearing this one so highly spoken of gives me high hopes that I may enjoy it, even though it is not my typical read. That it is so well researched, and that it has an old-fashioned style are both pluses to me.

I love historical fiction, especially when it is well written. The compliments given to this book are so great, that it is for sure going on my reading list. It sounds fascinating. Thank you for the thorough review.

No doubt this book sounds like something I could immerse myself fully and enjoy it immensely. But considering how much I "like" suspense, maybe it's the valid idea to wait until next books in the series))

I am not a fan of historical fiction so I won’t be reading this book and added to my not interested in reading shelf. I love how there is a cliffhanger at the end and I applaud the author for doing their research before writing this book. I am sure this book will find the right audience who won’t be able to put this one down.

Well I'll be honest when I say, I wouldn't pick this book up in a store. I'm not a history buff, more of a math nerd. Your review made me want to know more about this secret society. I might have to give it a read.

Thanks for the interesting review. At first glance, I thought that this was going to be more along the lines of a historical romance, but I like the mystery of this novel. I am a bit nervous about the bouncing back and forth in time, but I'm hoping that it is well done and that I'll be able to follow without any issues. This story about the heirlooms absolutely sounds interesting so I'm putting this book on my to-be-read shelf. Can't wait to read!

Thanks for your review! I'm glad that the author was able to maintain the historical authenticity of France. That will help readers better immerse themselves in the book. The premise of finding the missing heirlooms also sounds interesting.
