The book "Chameleons" has to be the best historical fiction book I've read. I'm not a great fan of history books, but I'm so glad I read this.
Harran did what has to be done by schooling Brygida, though u partly wondered why he chose her. This is a great book, Martin Wyatt.

The immersive narrative style of the author as mentioned in the review made me curious about this book. It seems entertaining and informative at the same time.

This is an interesting historical fiction novel on the Nazi invasion of Poland, survival, family, tribulations, discrimination, twins, love, and family. The book is free on Kindle Unlimited and has a masterfully written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats @bigtoewyatt on the BOTD.

I like reading books with character-driven plots because they make me identify with each character and understand their feelings.
Nice review.

I love historic fiction. I loved the part where the reviewer points out the relationship between characters- grandpappy and Brygida, these are one of the things that keep the readers engaged and invested in the story. Thanks for the review. Can't wait to read this book

This sounds like a book that I would read. I am interested in learning about the experiences that the Jewish people had at that time. Thanks for this review!

Such a profound review. While I love reading your review, I may have to pass this one. Reading history is great, but something as dark such as the time of the Nazis, I always stay away from. (Diary of Anne Frank was an exception, though). Thank you for your great review :)

Thanks Fazzier, for a great review.
A historical fiction, Chameleons highlighting the lead Brygida, as against Mysz. The story about the personalities witnessing and mass Jewish facing torture during a Nazi's invasion era in Poland must be a heart feeling narration of the neat war like effects. Need to read in full.

I enjoy character-driven books, especially if I can view the world through their eyes. I can easily imagine how important it was to teach survival skills during the Nazi-era. Great review.

It sounds like an amazing story even though I found the beginning too confusing. At least I could understand what it is about from reading your amazing review. Congratulations BOTD.

The process of training Brygida sounds like an interesting one to read about. Although the subject is a common one, the book seems to be an emotional ride.

The review of this book was very good. As much as I enjoy historical fiction, I'm going to pass on reading this one. The brutality and deaths of so many innocent people is just sad.

Brygida seems to be a strong character and she relayed to us all. The profound insight into German soldiers' torment towards the Jews is an eye opener. I don't usually read this type of book so I may not read further into Chameleons however it seems well thought out and full of climactic elements.
