I usually don't read stories about war, but this one talks about the consequences of wars, which is actually an interesting topic. Gotta give you a try.

There is no end to the horrors of war. Its aftermath affects everyone differently. That being said, I like that the author didn't make the whole story about war as war stories can be super intense sometimes. The inclusion of dear moments is a great touch.

War books are not my favorite genre. However, this book is worth putting into consideration because it talks about the consequences of war. I am adding it to my reading list. congratulations to the author on the BOTD selection.

I enjoyed reading your descriptive review about the family saga that surrounds a period of war. Thank you for the review.

The background of the war and the fact that some passages resemble the life of the author are very interesting. The story seems to expose some family conflicts, especially between the protagonist and his father. All in all, it looks like an entertaining read.

It is really pleasant to read about how having love ones on the front line in wars and other hostile situations affect people. This is a great review, I can't wait to read this book.

This is an interesting narrated piece of historical fiction highlighting war, loss, grief, family, emotional scars, and unique culture. The book has a free sample on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review. Congrats @koehlerbooks on the BOTD selection.

A book that covers multiple generations and the impact that different wars have on them sounds intriguing. Thank you for your review.

I think writing about the consequences of war in a manner that gives life to the subject is awesome. I'll have to give this one a try. Thanks for the review!

I agree that any war lefts lingering trail of "appalling ramifications of war, especially its devastating consequences on people's lives" that are as horrible as the war itself. This is exactly the reason why I refuse to read this book and be subjected to such horrors, pain and suffering. Sorry and congratulations with BOTD!

I don’t know that I would like this book. I usually prefer romance, but it sounds like there may be an aspect of that in this book. I don’t usually like books about war, so I’m not sure I would like this book.

I love historical fictions. The topic of war may be overbearing for some. But I think that aside from the profits gained in war; the negative consequences of war also need to be shown. Congrats BOTD.
