A historical fiction story set on the South Side of Chicago at the time of Prohibition. It seems to have well-developed characters and a nice narrative. I find the description of the life of immigrants in Chicago interesting. Sound like a good option.

Post-War Action and Suspense

Trapped in Glass by Pam Records tells a convoluted tale about a family in Europe after the big war. Bootleggers and murderers, Italians and Polish, victors and victims bob and weave as they try to create new lives, remembering loved ones yet trying to forget the past.

I enjoyed the writing very much. The beginning was difficult as the characters and backstory were introduced, but things got moving fast.

Seems to be a suspenseful detective story. We have to read the full book to find out the mystery behind the tavern whose owners were dead or missing long back. The review is evoking quite a good interest in us to go through the book upto end. Nice review.

I love historical fiction and I can't resist a good mystery. But what caught my attention the most are the mystical elements and supernatural elements. Thank you for such a captivating review!

This is a well-woven story that revolves around two sisters of Polish ancestry, Halina and Patcja, who live in Hegewisch, a Polish-American community on the south side of Chicago. The readers who enjoy historical fiction, especially America during Prohibition would love this book.
The review is superb.
