After reading the sample of the book on Amazon, this review drew a clear picture about the story. In my opinion, the review is well thought and written, and explains everything needed for a potential reader. Even I do not have the will to read nor the interest on the subject, I feel myself already like I read most of the the book. Good job.

When a young boy first encountered an enemy, he realized what his role would be during the war. With only a few pages, the book gives various viewpoints on war that will appeal to fans of historical fiction.

I will first start by commending the reviewer for this wonderful review. The review captures all the contents and it makes it fascinating for an intended reader. Secondly, War may have a beautiful start story but the end story is always regrettable. So, it should be encouraged rather, negotiation should prevail. Third, the writer and the book "The Shot not Heard around the world" is a historical one, and historians or those with a passion for history will find this work worth reading.

Damitz's storytelling is engaging, with a youthful and intelligent narrative voice that makes the historical and medical details accessible to readers. "The Shot Not Heard Around the World" is a thought-provoking exploration of morality, friendship, and the unexpected paths taken in pursuit of a greater good.

Nice review! As someone that (when reading historical fiction) appreciates a focus on how the characters develop and are affected by the time/era they’re in rather than just the historical factors themselves, I like that this review clearly confirms that to be the case with this book.

Are boys expected to kill? What a tragedy that is. I wonder how Jeremy will face the consequence of disobeying orders.

The Shot Not Heard Around the World. At a time when the young Jeremy as boy partook in wars. Preparing for that moment all his life by hunting squirrels and rabbits, Jeremy would find out that shooting humans was a different ball game.

Well, a book with 3 protagonists seems interesting. I love books that talk about war although war is not something to be proud of in real life. Thanks for the detailed review!

There's nothing I enjoy more than reading a well-written character, made of emotions and internal turmoils as they face their challenges. Also, the historical timing along with the medical issues seem like an interesting topic to read about, because even if it's fiction, the author does understands how things were back then and is able to picture them quite well in his book.

War stories are always heartbreaking and to learn about a young boy's dilemma to kill is harrowing. Though I usually don't read historical fictions, a story with realistic characters and believable character development is bound to entice readers.
The review is really well-written with each important aspects clearly explained. It showcases the all the good things about the book makes one want to grab a copy.

This review is well-written and captivating. I will need to read this novel as well. I hope Jeremy advances to the level of advancements in the 17s during the world war. It's a good historical fiction and I recommend it to the readers of this genre.
Congrats on BOTD!

Great review on a great book. I usually don't like war stories of any kind, but I loved this author's writing. The words just flew off the page so easily and effortlessly. I thoroughly enjoyed the sample and your review.
