Greek mythology and culture sounds very interesting. I always enjoy history lessons from novels. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll enjoy the story too much. Pericles was a married man and he fell in love with another woman. Maybe that is normal back in the day, but I still think I'll give this book a pass. Thanks for the review though.

This is old history and love Greek story between Aspannia and Pericle. War because one woman and her love. This is a amazing story about love an war because this love. When I see a historical fiction book, the first thing that comes to mind is Greece. Most books in that genre have a Greek setting with troubling names and tend to be boring sometimes, but I saw in this one a trace of romance. That makes it a good read for me. nice review.

Great thorough review. I have read a lot of Greek mythology stories and indeed it is a great material for building a story and it seems that the author has been able to formulate a story that mixes several factors, as mythology and romance, a good choice for BOTD.
