Greek mythology and culture sounds very interesting. I always enjoy history lessons from novels. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll enjoy the story too much. Pericles was a married man and he fell in love with another woman. Maybe that is normal back in the day, but I still think I'll give this book a pass. Thanks for the review though.

This is old history and love Greek story between Aspannia and Pericle. War because one woman and her love. This is a amazing story about love an war because this love. They love don't assepted and have a dead, violence and unhappy end. However, how people secrufi ever for love? More questions have on this story and must to read when we understand power of love.

I love historical books, but I have never read anything on Greek mythology. I will really love to know what became of the love affair between Pericles and Aspasia. The quotes in the review are well noted. Congratulations on BOTD.

The review for Pericles and Aspasia was great, and I enjoyed reading it. I love the irony in the book about Pericles and also about the war between Spartans and Athenians during ancient times. Congratulations to the author.

I do love historical fiction novels. Especially those that focus on culture and practices of past civilizations. Despite the romantic themes, my appreciation for Greek mythology will definitely make me reconsider.

Sounds like an interesting book.
Books about Greek mythology, history and philosophy do not appeal to me. I may give reading this particular one a try.
Thanks for your review.

When I see a historical fiction book, the first thing that comes to mind is Greece. Most books in that genre have a Greek setting with troubling names and tend to be boring sometimes, but I saw in this one a trace of romance. That makes it a good read for me. nice review.

Great thorough review. I have read a lot of Greek mythology stories and indeed it is a great material for building a story and it seems that the author has been able to formulate a story that mixes several factors, as mythology and romance, a good choice for BOTD.

"Pericles and Aspasia" by Yvonne Korshak is a historical fiction set in the era of ancient Greece. After escaping from the pirates, Aspasia meets Pericles and soon love will develop between them. This novel inspired by history and philosophy is professionally edited.
