@bluemel4 I think that books like Frankenstein Diaries allow readers to gain insight into classics like Frankenstein by allowing us to better understand the time period in which it was written. Mary Shelley is famous today and considered a classic, but she had to initially publish the book anonomously and the book received some critical reviews from horrified readers for its controversial subject matter!
