A very emotional review. were it not for my dislike of emotional books (especially sad) I would prioritize this one. I am still thinking about it though.

Your review sold it for me:) I enjoy books set in this time period, so I think I'll add it to my list. I'm not a parent but I can empathise with the protagonist, and there's music to discover.

I don't think I've ever dabbled in the suspense genre before, at least not for a long time, but this review has definitely convinced me to add this book to my never-ending list of books to read. San Francisco, the Summer of Love, drugs, music, and tragedy? It sounds right up my alley. I'll just have to add it to the waiting list and then find a time when no one will ask why I'm crying.

Great review love the detail. This does sound like a book that is both heart wrenching because of the loss of a child and intriguing. I intend to read it but am glad about the warning about the plain writing style. Thanks so much for sharing.

I am very intrigued about the kidnapping and death of Liz's son and am grateful the author handled it tastefully. I will add this book to my "to read" list. Good job on the review.
