At first, I was compelled to read even more when I learned about Antosha's nightmare. Her story is a truly compelling one. Action and adventure centered on the life of an archaeologist will be fun to read about. The author's writing style is also commendable. Congrats on BOTD.

It had many plot twist that kept you guessing on what would happen next. What Meets the Eye is about a PI trying to solve the murder of an artist killed in her prime. The death was originally ruled suicide, but as she looks into the case Kate realizes that Margot Starling's death is part of a much larger plot.
It really worth the reading, I must say

The review was engaging, suggesting that the novel is worth reading despite its length. Interesting book concepts, action, and adventures are worth trying. I'm curious about Antosha Scarlett's story and how she handled and will handle her trials.

A 700 page book is quite hefty but it still sounds like an action/suspense novel. I do hope that the descriptions of the assassination attack isn't too graphic though. Thanks for the review!

I think that Antosha was a very dedicated archeologist to, in spite of losing her parents at the Lost City, she still pursues the invitation to explore the site.

Thank you for the review.

I just finished a 400-page adventure novel that I truly enjoyed. This one sounds like another excursion - 709 pages of uncovering mysteries. I like storylines that have an element of adventure and surprising twists. According to your assessment, the author has packed enough action with an engaging backstory, assassins, and characters. Your review is concise but appealing. Congratulations on being named BOTD!

An action-adventure fictional novel "Not What Meets the Eye" by Matrika Hay, which follows Antosha Scarlett, an archeologist whose tragic past has come back to haunt her. This book appears interesting to read.

This sounds like a great adventure and mystery book. I like the plot and as you say they are humorous at times. I don’t mind the lengthy read but I feel the names are hard to pronounce and weird. Still gonna read this.

This action-adventure fictional novel looks exciting. I wonder what issues Antosha had to face in the Lost City and how she managed to get ahead. The touch of humor in an adventure story is appealing. Sounds interesting!

The sample chapters that I read in Kindle were amazing. The plot seems interesting and you also mentioned it is humourous at times. Good job with the review. I'm excited to know more about the story.
