I think this would be interesting to read because I haven't read anything quite like it before. A continuous story of this kind. I love stories about kings and knights, and especially in the realm of Camelot. I will definitely need to try reading this. Thanks for a nice review!

"Battle Ballad of the Royal Knight" by Robert Murray is a collection of stories. It starts with the story of Elias a man in search of woman who would be his wife and queen. It is interesting how the author made unique skillful use of literary devices.Thank you for a great review

I enjoy tales inspired by the Arthurian legends. This book seems appealing, although I'm not one for starting books well into a series. Perhaps I'll check out the first book and go from there. Congrats on BOTD.

King Elias' dilemma of finding his queen seems entertaining. Literary devices are usually positive aspects in poetry and this book is no exception. It is an ideal read for lovers of poetry, especially narrative.

This looks like a piece of literature that will take time to read and digest. The story reminds me of the old English ballads, and the stories about King Arthur and Merlin, etc. it’s refreshing to read something new and different.

Dear ,Charis Alex Powell
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed review of "Battle Ballad of the Royal Knight" by Robert Murray. It's always valuable to hear readers' perspectives on the books we love.

I'm delighted to hear that you found the author's use of literary devices skillful and engaging. It sounds like Murray's incorporation of allegory, alliteration, and a consistent rhyming pattern added depth and texture to the storytelling, enriching your reading experience. It's truly wonderful when an author's craftsmanship shines through so effectively.

Your feedback regarding the transitions between stories is also appreciated. I can understand how abrupt shifts might disrupt the flow of the narrative, requiring readers to backtrack for clarity. It's a point worth noting, as smooth transitions can greatly enhance the readability of a book, especially one as immersive as this.

Your final rating of five stars speaks volumes about the overall quality of the book. Despite the minor issue with transitions, you found the storytelling compelling enough to warrant full marks, which speaks to the strength of Murray's work. I'm glad to hear that the negative aspect didn't overshadow your enjoyment of the book.

Your recommendation for fans of narrative poetry and ballads is duly noted. It sounds like "Battle Ballad of the Royal Knight" offers a unique and captivating reading experience, particularly for those who appreciate the lyrical beauty of such forms.

Once again, thank you for sharing your insights and recommendation. Your review will undoubtedly help other readers decide whether this book is right for them. Happy reading!

Best regards,

Nice review! A tale of royals/monarchy told by way of poetry/ballads honestly sounds like one of the most sensible crossovers you could do. I would imagine the flawed formatting can be overlooked if the stories are enticing enough.
For instance, on page 9, there was an allegory to the story of David and Beersheba: I do love Bel', and I fear a David May rise in me, and within my breast win.
Just a minor correction: Her name is Bathsheba, not “Beer.”

In Robert Murray's 'Battle Ballad of the Royal Knight,' King Elias Pendragon, now king of Camelot, deals with dilemmas personal and otherwise. The book explores themes of conflicting emotions, love, and the need for wisdom under the given circumstances he finds himself in. The concerns stated by the reviewer have been noted. Nonetheless, congrats to the author.

An interesting and informative review, thank you.
Hmm, I wonder how the omen that King Elias sought, presented itself.
If the answer points at Rosamond, this would no doubt be a spicy plot!

The different stories of Camelot also sound intriguing.

Congratulations to the author 👏

Thank you for your excellent review of Battle Ballad of the Royal Knight by Robert Murray. I am more familiar with classical ballads like The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge or Ballad on the American War by Robert Burns. Robert Murray's Camelot Chronicles Series is my first attempt at reading a modern ballad. Although I was familiar with the structure and tempo of the ballad, like you, I had an issue with the jumpy transitions from scene to scene, which left me quite confused about the narrative. I have only read the sample from the Kindle edition and am glad you mentioned that the story becomes really interesting as the book progresses. I would have to significantly slow my reading pace to grasp the story's content.

The review provides an intriguing glimpse into 'Battle Ballad of the Royal Knight' by Robert Murray, highlighting its focus on King Elias's quest for a wife amidst allegorical references and skilled literary devices. The mention of alliteration and rhyming patterns adds depth to the narrative, making it rich and engaging. However, the critique regarding abrupt transitions between stories raises questions about readability and coherence, albeit balanced by the reviewer's overall positive impression, culminating in a five-star rating.

A king without a queen is an incomplete leader, and I am curious to find out who King Elias chooses to become his wife and queen. It seems like a captivating book to read with the use of figurative language in it. Congratulations on being BOTD!

The book is a historical fantasy book where the King is in search for a wife after he gains unquestionable order by defeating an enemy troop. I think I will be skipping this book for now. Thank you for your review!
