Historical fiction, such as this, often cause me to marvel and admire the author's craftiness. It's also a nice way to learn and be entertained. With regard to this book, the character, Lily, does sound inspiring.
This is an extraordinary analysis of the book. Thanks.

I'm interested in reading WWII stories. This historical novel seems to be skillfully touching on the unexplored topic of Belgium resistance and the unsung women heroes who helped wounded airmen to avoid capture by the Nazis. Thanks for your review!

I really enjoy reading historical novels based on WWII. I find them quite intriguing and interesting the way they place you in the middle of one of the most devastating eras all the while teaching you something new about it. Great review, I’ll definitely have to check the book out.

A historical fiction about the Heroes of the Belgian resistance, who aided downed allied pilots sounds like a very intriguing read. Great review.

This is indeed right up my alley. I can't wait to read a great historical fiction especially when it is based on a true story and captures some of the overlooked happenings of that time. Congratulations to the book of the day.

I am also a fan of historical fiction and I think this suits my interests. I like hearing about minor stories in wars that seem to show the side of humanity. Deeply heartwarming despite the cold-blooded events, this book is somehow worth the read. Also liked how you pointed out the jumping of timelines that ai wouldn’t be surprised anymore. Thanks for your review!

I love historical fiction, especially when it can teach me something new about the time period. I've heard about the French resistance, but not too much about the Belgian resistance or about how these downed pilots were rescued. This should be an entertaining and educational read. Thank you for the helpful review.

This book seems to show another aspect to the well discussed/documented Second World War, an aspect that few have a knowledge of. Great review.

My uncle was a fighter pilot in WWII, and thankfully came back alive. All that my cousins knew about his service were a few fun-looking photos of him in France at the end of the war, his medals and his letters of commendation. It wasn't until after his death that one of my cousins started digging into his past and found that he had been captured by the Germans and managed a harrowing escape. This book sounds very similar. I can hardly wait to read it.
