While I'm not a fan of historical fiction, I can see how this would be a worthy read filled with great characters and adventure. This sounds like a very vivid book that makes history come alive as one reads it.

Thank you so much for the very detailed review! I am fascinate by the historical context that the author has decided to write about and find it fascinating that they come from a military background, a point of view that I personally don't see often when reading. Usually when I read historical fiction, it's not set in the American West, but that's not going to stop me now  I'm glad to read that maps are included in the book to help navigate the reader through locations. Will definitely put this and the first book in the series on my TBR list!

As my knowledge of American history is very limited, this novel might help me to understand the native Americans better.

The style and historical descriptions in this book are brilliant. I could actually hear the atmosphere of hustle and bustle of the stagecoaches and the fort in my head.

I’m not really a fan of westerns, but I appreciate that the author took great care in honoring the peoples of that age.

Historical Fiction is one of my favorite genres. However, I am sensitive to the gore and violent scenes, so I scan past them quickly. Your perceptive review reminds me of "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" by Dee Brown and Hampton Sides.

'Official Review: These Sacred Lands' by James Harold Kelly well explores the relevant points of the book for readers. It provides the readers with valuable information about the author. The point that the book outlines the battles and events of the Great Sioux War fought in the 1800s is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that the maps of the Northern Plains featured throughout the book helps readers picture names and places, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book contains the elements of action, adventure, and romance!
