The illustrations are very powerful to bring the topic to life. Wonderful architecture, with some of the houses now historical landmarks.
Thank you for a great review.

Whenever I hear architecture, what comes to my mind is creativity. I am not an architect but anything on the topic intrigues me greatly, and for that reason this is my kind of book.
Nice review!

It is fascinating to know that building structures may take up to 100 years. Many buildings have fallen afew months after completion but this one has stood out strong. In deed it's architects were good. Your review was informing, thank you.

I appreciate the reviewer highlighting the author's inclusion of the term 'quoin' and its role in the Clinton Hill community. It's refreshing when a book introduces readers to new concepts and expands their knowledge. Congrats on BOTD.

I never used to be a fan of historical books, even though I do often love history. However, after reading a few really interesting books in this genre, I've started to really enjoy them. Well done on a great review!

Your review was incredibly written and covered a lot of ground. The sample pages were easy to understand. It spoke about Quoins, which was something new I learned. I appreciated how the author has made the study of architecture easily available to anyone interested. Congratulations on being selected BOTD!

Seeing some buildings that have been built for years still stand firm, makes one applaud the architect that designed those buildings. Another part is the display of wealth that people have good taste for building structures at that time in history.

History and Architecture are not my cup of tea but I do admire and appreciate the author's efforts of gathering and documenting, all the information of a century, from origins of the architecture to their development structure which is a tedious task. It shows the author's interest and determination.

A great and ardours job has been done in identifying the structures and architecture to document their origins and also help readers accustom to cultures around them. Thanks for the review.

I guess this book studies the history, and evolution of architectural structures in Brooklyn, New York city. This book will be very relevant to historians and the city inhabitants. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.
