Flashbacks is an interesting way to tell a story. Stories of war do not hold my attention for long. But, the use of flashbacks pikes my interest. This is a well written review, and gives me a good sense of my commitment if I choose to read this book.

From being declared dead to risking it all for his team, James' character development is truly remarkable. With emotional highs and a thrilling storyline, From Hell to Home by DJ Power is a must-read for fans of action and historical fiction.

James has lived an interesting life that many people would have dreams about. From serving his country, working for the CIA, and surviving a traumatic gunshot wound, he's indestructible. I cannot wait to read this story.

"From Hell to Home" by DJ Power is a historical fiction story that takes place during the Vietnam War. James Coleman is the main character and his story begins in a body bag that the chaplain notices it moving and finds James still alive after taking a bullet to the head. Surgeons removed the bullet and James continued to work in the Marine Corps and resume his CIA assignment. James has flashbacks of what happened to him and he wonders if he can perform his job as a CIA agent. A well written book about a topic that brings back so many memories. I had seven friends in elementary school that lost older brothers in Vietnam and I would have been drafted and gone to Vietnam if I did not have a student deferment. Good review.

It's only in rare cases that a person shot in the head gets to survive and James was very lucky. This is an interesting book considering its a war book. Although I don't read this genre much, I'd give this an exception.

DJ Power seems to be creative and talented in writting this historical fiction on the tales of corporal James Coleman. James Coleman alive out of the body bag, surviving gunshot to his head and his life after that seems very intriguing plot. I would like to read this sometime. You have written the review so well without giving away the suspense. Congratulations on the BOTD!

Historical fiction books are my favourite, most especially when they are well narrated in a movie-like fashion like today's book of the day. The storyline sounds intriguing and captivating too. Congrats on being the #BOTD!

The obvious injury from his head wound seems to skew his perceptions from the beginning
It would be interesting to know if the flashbacks held a deeper meaning or just an after math of the.trauma and random with no specific meaning. A road like this is sure to be hard especially with side effects of flash backs and how they play into the story
.can't wait to read more

Seeing the title of this book I was skeptical but reading the review, I am already looking forward to reading the book myself. I would love to find out how James handled the effects of the head injury and if he finally reunited with his family inspire of the order not to contact then.
Thank you for a beautifully- written review.
