I hope that the review itself explained the main theme of the book "Saving KC". The review explained that the love can even melt a rock and this review exactly explained how the love cured a traumatized Kelly, who was captivated and saved after years. Waiting to know the struggles faced by Kelly!

This well-written, detail-oriented, historical literature sounds like an emotional read which deals the horrors of war and also with finding love again. I have added this book to my reading list. Great review!

I'm not particularly fond of romances but I do read them occasionally. This one seems like something I'll enjoy. I like the historical add to this novel and especially the effect that it had on soldiers, as a person don't realize what trauma they've gone through. Thanks for a detailed and well written review.

Soldiers are the unsung heroes. Sadly not many of us are well aware how deeply scarred the soldiers are after the wars. Despite all the horrors of war, one shouldn't give up on love. Those who are curious about the life of military personnel in general or into romance, this is a must read.

Thank you for your great review. It had the genre listed as historical fiction, but I'm glad to see that you have it as romance fiction. I thought it was written very well too. I liked how it was about family. I'm also glad that it described what a soldier's life is like without being gory. I'm not about war stories and I had to chuckle when I thought it was historical fiction and it was dated 1971. I was in high school then. But once I started reading it I got pulled in. I have added it to my list of books to read.

Your review beautifully captures the nuanced exploration of Kelly's life in "Saving KC" by Grinnell Desjarlais. The narrative skillfully delves into his dreams, love, and the tumultuous twists his journey takes after enlisting in the army. Your insightful commentary highlights the author's adept portrayal of the often-overlooked war experiences of soldiers, delving into the profound traumas that linger long after the battles end. The inclusion of Indian cultural insights and the meticulous detailing of Kelly's childhood not only enhance the narrative but also infuse it with a rich tapestry of diverse elements.

Saving KC

As a fellow soldier I ak in awe of this story because it brung back so many memories. Kelly being a soldier and finding love while also being the family man, then going missing is very traumatic. Not only did this traumatic event put a strain on him, but also his family, will he ever recover? Events like this definitely takes time.

"Saving KC" sounds like an interesting and emotional story at some point. Through Kelly's life, we see how life is in and after for those who go through the military profession. I am happy that Kelly found love again, and it was a turnaround in his life. Thanks for the great analysis of the book!

Your survey delightfully catches the nuanced investigation of Kelly's life in "Saving KC" by Grinnell Desjarlais. The story ably dives into his fantasies, love, and the wild contorts his process takes subsequent to joining the military. Your wise editorial features the creator's capable depiction of the frequently neglected war encounters of fighters, digging into the significant injuries that wait long after the fights end. The incorporation of Indian social bits of knowledge and the careful specifying of Kelly's life as a youngster upgrade the story as well as inject it with a rich words

Saving KC by Grinnell Desjarlais is a heartwrenching story of Kelly, an American soldier, who was held captive in a Vietnamese jungle. After three years of unimaginable torture, he was rescued by the American troops. Despite the struggle after that trauma, how he lost and found love will be a hopeful read. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I'm a sucker for a romance story, so I'd read this. From just the review, this seems like a comforting story about love, trauma and resilience. I'd definitely like to read about how Kelly's managed to turn his life around after his drinking problem.

Saving KC extensively highlighted the untold war experiences of soldiers and how they are left traumatized and scarred for life by the horrors they face at war.
- Knowing these in advance, they still join as soldiers to protect us, the common citizens. This is applaudable and I would like to read more to appreciate these heroes even more. Your review was right on target. Thank you.
