Thanks for your review. After reading the sample though, I realised that this one is not for me. I do like some historical fiction and this one sounds well written, but I just didn’t feel compelled to keep reading it.

Thank you for your review! Even though I was hesitant about a historical novel, you made the characters seem extremely relatable. I myself am going through some tough times, and an inspirational read may be just what I need!

I really like the plot line behind this. I love history and I think this might be right up my ally.

I love books that search the inner emotions of the characters. It seems to be a relaxed laid back book versus a drama novel. I'm not a fan of historical novels but it does seem interesting.

Historical fiction set during the Great Depression isn't my cup of tea. However, it is obvious that you enjoyed the book so I think those who want to know more about America at this time would probably find it interesting. Thanks for the review.

Great review! Just by knowing the time period the father's story takes place in i can already understand why he held onto his story for so long without sharing it with his children. I can't wait to read it!

My God I felt emotional and touched just reading the review, I have lost both my Grandmother and my father and I can't wait to read this book. I am still in the grieving process despite the passing of 7 years and I feel like I will find some answers in this book . Thank you

I'll Point to Heaven is a title that implies a religious theme, and yet you made no mention of a religious or faith theme in the review which leaves me wondering if the title is misleading. I enjoy historical fiction that has characters that have strong character traits and integrity. I will add this book to my reading list based on your review.

Love books that pertain to my faith. Thanks for the thorough summary you provided - I have more understanding of who the four main characters are. I'm not really sure what to expect but I will give this book a try.

It's always nice to see a book that is so timely to your personal situation. I'm dealing with my father's death and the loss of my husband is one of my biggest fears. I appreciate the character insights you gave. It makes me tempted to read it for sure!

Thanks for a good book review Ayisha on I’ll Point to Heaven. Based on the review it’s more of an inspirational than historical. Definitely, on my “want to read” book list. :techie-studyingbrown: :techie-reference:

When family values and love for one another seem to be a rarity in this world nowadays, this book reminds us that there are people who still value these and that there is hope after all for all of us. Congrats and happy reading to all of us!
