Psychic abilities, fortune telling, and mediumship—including any fraud that might be committed under claims of such abilities—have surprisingly been a part of many prominent people’s lives and decision-making since Spiritualism gained traction around the 1840s. It’s actually quite fascinating, and I love to see a novel with a plot that utilizes this fact. I’m curious about the spell Madam Genova casts, but with this being more of a character-driven book, I’m especially curious to see how this duo develops. Thank you for the helpful review.

The review is wonderful, thank you. I am curious about the curious spell that Madam Genova casts—what does it do that makes it the core of the story? I'm also interested in finding out what the rich, powerful, and famous desire—more riches, power, and fame? Congrats on the BOTD.

From the storyline, I'm intrigued to know that Madam Genova,' and Monique LeClaire, used their gifts to impact others life positively. It seems more events unfolded after it. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

I was intrigued by the magic and spells of Madam Genova but unfortunately, I'm not into historical fiction. I'm sure many other readers will find it very entertaining though.
