I can imagine such a tragedy, having to experience the pain of loosing at such a young age as that. This sounds like a sad story but the story line is captivating Afterall. Thank you for the review.

Today's BOTD is a historical fiction set in the mid-1800s. It tells the story of a little girl who saw a harsh and hard life too early in her years and was forced to become an adult while still a child. The story is quite intriguing, it is an interesting read. Congratulations on making BOTD.

Nell seems to have gone through a lot at a young age. 11 years but she still endured what life threw at her. This is an inspiring book to read. I would love to read about how life was in the 1800s. Congratulations on BOTD.

Incredible storyline! I can already hear the brays of the donkey and their hoofs clacking against the pavement. I love stories set in such eras because I get to travel through the words of the author and experience life as of old. I do hope Nathan was right about the move. Congratulations on BOTD.

A young girl grows up in a harsh, freezing western environment in the fictional narrative Nell's West. She is primarily dependent on her family for support as she attempts to navigate and endure the difficult life in Oregon. She would have to have the fortitude to rise and get over her shattered heart. Congrats on BOTD!

"Nell's West" by Erin Eldridge. An interesting book, tells the story of Nell a young girl who at the age eleven has experienced adulthood. Her Dad Nathan has been with her since he lost his wife and Son. Reading this shows love, death, courage, perseverance and survival. Congrats on your #BOTD.

Poor Nell. Life became so tough before she could experience it's beautiful such as childhood. I hope that life doesn't reap her off any other opportunities. I wonder if Oregon was the a great idea. Congratulations on BOTD.

This historical fiction is kind of interesting. It depicts the way of life in the past while mainly focusing on the character and how she does her life.

A story that talks about how Nell lost her mum and baby brother and was left to take care of her dad and their farm. The story also talks about how she was forced to become an adult at the age of 11. The book contains great suspense and the characters were well-developed. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the book. Nice review.

I love the review. I like travelling and reading such books gives me the psyche to one day visit where the author was. The characters also bring out values to be embraced. The book is interesting to read because of the characters, especially Nell's experience. The language, though hard, may not prevent one who likes travelling from reading it.

I like the story's setting in the 1800s. I am sad, though the protagonist, Nell, lost her mother and brother at only 11 years of age. I hope to read and discover how she survived under her father Nathan. Thanks for the review.

A historical fiction book set in the 1800s in the Mid West, spiced with a language appropriate to the time, has an inherent potential of making the prospect of reading this book a fascinating experience. I would like to know the type of odds Nell faced as she prematurely aged into adulthood and how she learned to cope with, and adjust to, her circumstances. Thanks for your review.

I love historical novels and I have to say that one of the reasons I enjoy them is the author's attempt to duplicate the speech and words of the era. Some people may be put off by some of that, but when you consider it a historical work, authenticity should be appreciated. Thank you for your review!

I'm not usually a historical novel type of person and I worry that the dialogue language would make it hard for me to follow along. But I am glad it received a positive review!
Mad Hatter: "Have I gone mad?"
Alice: "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”
