I like reading historical fiction books. I applaud the author for focussing not on the violence but the young protagonist's dilemma. Thanks for the awesome review!

War stories are usually something i do not enjoy because it contains a lot of triggering topics and painful events but since I am trying to read new things and things I wouldn't usually read these days I would love to give this a try especially because it is short and according to reviews does not focus much on the war itself. thank you for the great review

This seems to be an interesting historical fiction book. Young Jeremy was going through a lot due to being deployed to war at a young age. It was the norm in the 1700s for boys to fight in combat. However, Jeremy had an internal battle, deciding to shoot a human being. I'd love to read this book. Thanks for the review.

Jeremy's approach arouses interest for the reader to read the story thoroughly. It provides insightful knowledge on the intelligence of a young boy as a result of the American Revolutionary War along with the advancement of Medical science. Thanks for the Review.

The 1700s is a period that predates my existence, but I must say, the author's writing style is absolutely captivating. As I delved into the sample, the narrative held me spellbound, and just when I thought I had a grasp of the story, the ending blindsided me. It left me with an intense longing to devour the entire book.
I believe in something greater than myself.

This historical fiction is set during the American Revolutionary War where there's also an emphasis on medical advancement. After the protagonist refused to shoot an enemy, the plot redirects to a chain of events as consequence for that incident. Readers will learn more about the life of a medic in the battlefield in 1700s. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I love that this is historical fiction set against a war backdrop, and Jeremy's character seems intense. Who doesn't love a short novel with good characters. Amazing review.

From the radical Doc Thorndike to Jeremy's dilemma, Charlie Damitz's 'The Shot Not Heard Around the World' offers a mesmerizing journey to the 1700s, blending historical accuracy with compelling characters.

First, I like that the book is a short story that is easy to read for first-time readers and reviewers. Second, the book is interesting—an historical fiction book that tells about the journey of a young boy into a war. Even though I'm not into this kind of book, the review was good and got my attention and curiosity. Well done, review.

Jeremy's character is quite relatable to me; I have been in situations I thought I had prepared enough for only to struggle when the actual time to prove myself came. I would like to read more about him, though, and the characters Doc Thorndike and Roger.
