I am pretty curious about the infrastructure of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, built from the middle of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century, and how they became New York City landmarks. I am also curious about the grand houses' architects such as Charles Pratt, Hobart A. Walker, Mercein Thomas, Herts, and Tallants. Congratulations on BOTD.

I never enjoyed looking at architectural works that much but i feel like this is an exception. The book is laid out nicely and each picture is honestly a great representation of the building. Excited to read on

A book that meticulously described the fascinating architectural designs in the city of New York, from the 19th century, is truly one of its kind.
The author did an amazing job. Thanks for the great review and congrats on the BOTD.

I'm not into architectural history but I enjoyed watching the output of the many architects. It's always nice to take a peek into luxury.

Today's book of the day is a historical fiction that traces the history of some landmark structures in America and the brain behind such designs. It's a book of interest to me. Congrats to the author on #BOTD!

A nonfiction book where the author traces the construction of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn, New York, from 1830 to 1930. The author identifies the architects who designed the grand houses known as mansions today and how they significantly contributed to the real estate sector.
I like how the author makes this book easy to read and comprehend. Nice review.

Today's BOTD is not the one I would intentionally seek out. I don't think I'm the right audience for it. I like that Americans have some older historically significant buildings they can appreciate. Great review.

I am a history buff but architecture is not my cup of tea. Of course the reviewer does the book justice by listing all it's pluses. I'm sure the book would be fascinating to anyone interested in the genre. Well rounded review.

The review's mention of the author's simplicity in writing is appealing. It suggests that the book is accessible to a wide range of readers, even those unfamiliar with architectural terminology. The inclusion of the history of Charles Pratt adds depth to the narrative, making it more than just a catalog of buildings.
