Till date I never knew that Christopher Columbus, during his voyages, enslaved the natives of south America. It was very informative for me.

Okay, so I just finished this mind-blowing book called "Columbus, Slave Trader" by Marcus Wilson. Like, who knew history could be this crazy? I mean, we all grew up thinking Columbus was this super cool explorer guy who discovered America, right? Wrong! This book totally flipped my world upside down.
Turns out, Columbus wasn't just some dude looking for a shortcut to India. He was a serious slave trader! Can you believe it? The book spills all the tea on how he captured Native Americans and shipped them off to Europe like they were nothing. It's heartbreaking and infuriating at the same time.
Wilson does an amazing job of telling the story from the Native Americans' point of view. It's like you're right there with them, feeling their fear and anger. I never realized how much we don't know about this part of history. It's crazy how we've been taught one side of the story for so long.
This book is a total eye-opener. It's made me question everything I thought I knew. If you're into history or just want to learn something shocking, you gotta read this. It's a tough read, but it's important.

"Columbus, Slave Trader" by Marcus Wilson uses the perspective of Guarocuya, a native of Hispaniola, to vividly recount the historical events and brutalities faced by the Taínos under Columbus' quest for gold and his subsequent turn to the slave trade.

"Columbus, Slave Trader" by Marcus Wilson is a gripping historical fiction that narrates true events in Hispaniola from 1493 to 1495 through the eyes of Guarocuya, a native of the island. The book sheds light on Admiral Columbus's shift from seeking gold to trading slaves, exposing the brutal treatment of the Taínos. Adding it to my reading list.

"Columbus, Slave Trader" by Marcus Wilson is an historical fiction that is majorly about the inhumane treatment that humans suffered in the hands of their fellow humans. Congrats on BOTD. Insightful review.

This book contains chilling historical facts. I read the sample and immediately wished that the failed ocean crossing—five hundred captured Native Americans destined for the slave markets in Seville and only eighty making it—was fictional. Congrats on BOTD!

Hi @Sandeep Moses Arulnesan, I just read your comments on the official reiew f "Christopher Columbus, Slave Trader" and I agree with your comments. We have idolized Columbus and his Spanish Conquistadors as heroes since I was a young boy. That took place in 1493 when a ship load of Lavtives greater than 500 were sent to the Old Word. So much of what Columbus did was brushed under the straw when it came to the slave trade. The capturing of native slaves to be sent back to High School's in Europe America opened so many opportunities that to treat the the slaves as subhuman. I like the perspective taken by the writer to describe the action deplorable.
