The name sounds really powerful. I'm yet to understand what the book is about but with your review I have come to understand the it takes sometime to get into the book. Your review is nice and well detailed.

This story makes me want to anticipate about what will happen in the end. It's so interesting and the review makes it one hundred times more eye-catching.

I'm not into historical fiction so I'll pass. Sounds like a captivating story for fans of this genre though.

The fact this whole narrative is inspired from an actual, true event makes this more captivating. The review truly is a masterpiece. The way all the required intricacies are elucidated is commendable.

Rebirth in Acadi by Susan Swanson is based on a true event published in a newspaper. Gladly, the event is not forced to fit around the story. They fit together naturally. This book shows why a person might want to hide themselves from their family and to hide their identity. It involves issues of racism.

This food fascinates me. I would like to see if Elizabeth succeeds in hiding her background from her racist fiance, though I'd advise her not to. Thanks for a compelling review.

I love what the author chose to do with this book by taking a story that wasn't hers and turning it into a beautiful piece. This shows her true mastery of the art of literature and storytelling. I love the approach she took, centering on the lives of two women and complementing their stories with other characters. This book presents as a cozy read which increases its functionality for people who want to relax as they read their books. Thank you for this review. I loved it.

A historical fiction based on racism. It's intriguing with a captivating review, however, it's not my type of book. Congratulations on BOTD.

This sounds like a good character study; it also seems like the author has done a great job of balancing factual details and plot without sacrificing readability. Thanks for the review.

Your thoughtful analysis of the character development in this book suggests that it is stronger on the fiction than the history. That’s perfectly fine, I suppose, but I usually prefer stronger adherence to the factual side of these kinds of books.

I'm curious about Margaret and Elizabeth's involvement in Louisiana's last duel. Civil War is not something I'm very interested about, so I'll check if the sample is engaging enough albeit slow-paced. This is a great story for readers who look for strong female characters. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I feel bad for Elizabeth because she has to hide her true identity from everyone including her fiance. Honestly, she would be better off with people who accept her as she is.
