This looks like an interesting crime novel that involves major security agencies such as the CIA and although the plot is very moving, I am not able to fully enjoy crime fiction. I do feel for James having a literal near-death experience. It must have been hard for him to transition back to real life and just be normal about it. Great review!

I can't get past the bit about Coleman being ordered to leave his family and fiancée and not even write to them. Everything else pales into insignificance.

This book sounds like an incredible thriller! I am insanely curious as to how James landed up in that body bag. I will definitely be reading this book the second I get the chance!

The use of flashbacks in the novel is a clever narrative technique. It not only helps us understand James's past experiences but also creates a sense of suspense and anticipation. It's like piecing together a puzzle as we delve deeper into his memories.

James's bravery and selflessness truly make him a compelling character. His willingness to sacrifice himself for the success of the mission shows his dedication and honor. It's refreshing to see such depth in a protagonist.

From Hell to Home is an extraordinary tale of triumph over tragedy. It is the inspirational account of a Vietnam soldier who, despite all odds, overcame a life-changing injury. I would love to read. Thanks for your review.

I think the Chaplain is an amazing personality. Also, I love the fact James was told to stay away from home and fiancee for a while, I think he needed to heal. This is the kind of novels I love to read. Nice review. Congratulations on BOTD.

I completely agree with you on the appeal of the plot. The idea of James being brought back to life after being declared dead adds a fascinating twist to the story. It's a testament to the author's ability to keep readers engaged from the very beginning.

It is very rare to see people alive after a headshot let alone recover enough to rejoin the service. The book sounds very intriguing and I'm curious to see what flashbacks he's getting and how they connect with his current life. Congrats on BOTD!

Nothing shouts "second chance" louder than being declared dead and then later come back to life. This sounds like an interesting book. Great review.

I like the way the review is written with empathy for James Coleman's head wound and his resulting head surgery. I particularly like to see that the surgery was successful and the bullet was removed from the head thereby ensuring James Coleman's recuperation. Whether or not he would return to his normal performance and right thinking of mind gives me the urge to read the whole book for more details. Thanks for the appealing review.
