Wow! It sounds like this is a must read. I enjoy historical fiction and I like that this one has a mystery and suspense elements woven throughout the plot. The 1700s France setting is also appealing to me!

Thanks for your review. It sounds like you truly enjoyed this historical fiction novel. It certainly seems well done however, the secret societies and the complicated story line are not my favourite things in a book.

I love well researched books. Specially when they are historical fictions and everything falls into place. Sounds like this one is one of those. Definetly adding this to my list. :techie-reference:

I love the sound of this book! Historical fiction is one of my favourite genres, especially when the plot is cleverly entwined with historical fact and plenty of intrigue. I’ve been looking for a good book series to get my teeth into, and this may well be it!

I like historical fiction but get very frustrated with cliff hangers so I think I will skip this one. Thanks for the review.

Awesome review to give some glimpse of this historical book which is on a character who is an American and when goes to study in France comes across secret society and from there history repeats in the life of the character at that place. The story seems to be quite intriguing and i should read this book.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Historical fiction is a tricky genre as it can either be found as too dull and boring or extremely interesting and educational, and I'm super glad that The Crimson Heirlooms is one of those historical fiction books that completely immerses and educates the reader! The fact that the author did their research into the specific French time periods and landscapes shows how informed, dedicated, and passionate the author is about their work and this, to me, is such a bonus. I love the extra added flair of mystery this book has, as readers go on the search for the missing heirlooms along with the characters. Awesome review and I'm glad you liked the book!

You had me at the start but then when you mentioned the cliffhanger ending I think I'm out. How can you even have a historical cliffhanger? Oh well, I loved the review and I felt closer to the book having read it.

French mysteries and tales have always had a tiny yet still significant place in my family's lives. My youngest one has also downloaded an app on his own because he said he intends to learn the language better. One of my oldest son's very first multi-chartered written works that I and my husband initially couldn't believe he wrote at such a young age of eleven years also has a French colour. This historical fiction touches those chords and more, therefore. We haven't been to the country before, and a holiday visit with my dear better-half is certainly part of my personal bucket list. Reading a nearly-flawless piece with a perfect review rating score amidst my own home's few yet still significant France-inspired decor pieces does seem promising and a step closer.

Thank you for your enticing review.

I think I would get lost in the time leaps that you mentioned and overall arc of the story.
Although I am sure it will have it's readers =)
