This crime mystery sounds like an epic adventure! The characters seem like they are engaging and the novel is very descriptive! Congrats on book of the day! Great review!

These two detectives surely fit on land and sea. Out in the open sea to respond to a distress call, they found a boat with children held captive, and bodies floating around. That pins down the culprit, but they have to be whisked away someplace else right after. The action here is fast-paced. Thank you for the great review.

Too bad the dialogue is so unnatural. That is a turn off. Not sure if I can handle the situation of human trafficking especially of children. Thanks for your review.

Great review. Since the first book didn't really appeal to me it doesn't make sense I get this one.

Good review. It was very succinct and really explained the story. I too agreed that the rich descriptions of the scenery really lent to the story. Interesting you saying that people don't talk like they write - I do - Must be why I'm not an author  Thanks again.

I truly enjoyed your review, I want to read this book if only to find out what was done to the people caught trafficking humans. To be honest I would probably hurt some one especially for hurting children.I will add this book to my shelf for reading, again thank you for a great review that not only intrigued me but gave insight to the possible great adventures of Jacko and Jamie.

Great review!!! This book sounds like an excellent read. I didn't particularly care too much for the description of the first book but this seems like it could stand alone.

This story actually sounds quite interesting to me, despite the previous book not really catching my interest. I recently read a different book involving human trafficking, and it's difficult to accept that something so abhorrent is really happening in the world. The only worry I have is that the unrealistic dialogue would keep me from really getting into the story.

Actually, this review describe almost every bit of the book's adventure perfectly , from working at the WWII to the CIS where Jamie and jacko discovery on human trafficking leads back to tracking the enemy in the wilderness with Jamie been a half waramunga aboriginal making his tracking skills sharp and jacko's sister also not making the adventure more interesting. The criticism on the dialog seems direct and honest, which am not too surprised about....

The first book in this series didn’t really pique my interest, but I’m intrigued by the murder-mystery premise of the second installment. It sounds like the characters are engaging and well-developed as well. Thanks for the insightful review!

It is odd that the mystery is solved so early, and the book moves onto an adventure.

I hate it when dialogue is so unnatural. Thank you for the informative review.

I love the description of Jacko and think it is likely I would take to him quickly. That it is set in Australia is also a draw. However, the stilted dialogue and the child trafficking theme would make me hesitant to read the book.
