I wouldn’t say I normally like stories about the supernatural, but there is something about this book that really appeals to me. Perhaps it is the blending of fiction and historical characters which make it very attractive. Also the authors attention to descriptive detail is a big bonus in my opinion. Thanks for your comments.

The spells by Madam Genova sound inspiring. Since this is inclined more to historical fiction, I might have to skip this book. I might not be interested as historical fiction doesn't fascinate me. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

This book is so funny, even though it's fiction, magical or mysterious but what grab my entire attention is the content which has visible link to the reality. I even though that the scenarios are link to the African reality. For you who loves reading and magical story the book is very appropriate for you.

Interesting plot with magic and historical tale. It amuses how the author blends character roles.

Fortune telling is something that never gets old. Anyone would want to know what the future has in store for them. I'm intrigued by fate tellers' abilities and how they serve their clients. Thank you for the review!

This seems like a unique book to me; there is the theme of supernatural and involvement of people like actors, politicians and crime lords. Thank you for the review!

Hey! Thank you so much for writing this review! This is something that sounds incredibly intriguing and I will be looking forward to adding this to my shelf for my next read! I can't wait to join the discussion and further see what the book is about. I really like supernatural stories and the fact that the book is informative without the draggy feel of a historical novel, as you have claimed, makes me immensely more curious and motivated to read the story.

Magic and spells are very intriguing for me. Love this story plus the art in making watches, his unique way of selecting parts.

Well, her good luck spells for Joshua can help him?
Congratulations on BOTD.

Sounds like a magical book to read. I like the fact that the author address things like abuse and racial discrimination. Why can't we all just love one another? Thanks for a great review.

Your description of this book is very intriguing. I love a good story intertwined with history and magic while sharing each character's perspectives, especially on current social issues. I will definitely add this book on my book list.
