A well-written book with great character development. This is an interesting and intriguing historical fiction book where we get to learn the relationship between Joshua and Lakota and so much more.

I’m glad this book is historically accurate. There’s room for creative interpretation in historical fiction, but I hate when a work is flat out wrong about its details. The fact that it is dedicated to the Lakota Sioux and has a main character trying to learn the Lakota language even during war is a great bonus to me. Thank you for the helpful review.

I enjoy historical fiction book. I always curious about the battles between the Indians and the settlers. Also Joshua life sounds very interesting, will he fight his friend in the end? Your review made me want to read this book. Thank you!

I'm not much of a history buff, so my knowledge of this war is absolutely nothing. The friendship between Joshua and the Lakota boy sounds like a promising story.

I have never heard of the battles and events of the Great Sioux War fought in the late 1800s, so I am intrigued by this book. I am curious about how closely the book mirrors events that happened in real life. Historical fiction about wars is always exciting to read. This book sounds interesting so congratulations on BOTD.

This intriguing work of historical fiction depicts the life of a young boy whose family moved to the West. Strong ideas in the novel will have a big influence on readers. I do think it's a great approach to keep the past alive to tell its tale in this way. The reader is given a vision, allowing them to peer through the eyes of those who lived in that era. The story plot seems to be well structured. Congrats on the BOTD.

Friendship that begat learning. I think I'll also love to learn about the Lakota people, how they survived the war, if the did or if they didn't, because I've never heard of this tribe. Amazing review.
Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

These sacred Lands is a well written history fiction about clashing cultures. It's great that the author provided maps and illustrations to help the readers appreciate the book more. I would like to know more about how Joshua's friendship with the Lakota boy turned out. Congratulations on BOTD.
