This is an interesting biblical story, giving full detail into the life and history of David. This book is full of information that may not be expressly explained in the Bible.

I don't often read sequels, but I'm convinced to read it because I'm already familiar with the story of David in the Bible. The author's writing style provides a different feel to the setting, and I want to refresh what I learned from my days as a student in a Christian school. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I am really enjoying this book so far. I like how the history is part of the story even though it is in the style of a novel. Kudos to the author. Thanks for a great review!

A historical fiction novel based on events in the Bible. This is definitely an interesting book but I have had my share of Bible stories that I would not read this. Congrats on BOTD.

This is surely an interesting retelling of certain events in the Old Testament Book of Samuel. I like the author's characterization of David and Saul, which should easily help people appreciate more these characters' place in the sight of God. Also, the author has done well by getting this book well edited; the minor errors should not pose any hindrance to the readers'enjoyment of this book.

This would be an appealing novel for Christians, it would also be an interesting and educative novel for scholars who intend to grab an understanding of David's story in the bible.

Like you I would enjoy reading a re-interpretation of David’s story. But even more interesting is the infusion of the technology of the era, hinted at in your comment 'armies are using fire and smoke’ and others.

Has a great appeal for persons interested in biblical knowledge, the reviewer has summarily put together beautiful piece that entails what to expect from the book as well as saving time as you will have an idea of what you will be looking into at first glance.
