The Journey of an American Woman is based on a true story about the author's life. It is about how Xandria, a victim of abuse as a child, grows up to carry that and, over the years, manages to overcome the past that haunted her. The official OBC review was insightful and highlights how parents need to be more attentive to their children, especially when they are young. Congratulations on the BOTD!

This biographical fiction book seems to emphasize how critical it is for parents to listen and engage with their child or children everyday. If they don't, it can do damage that a child will have to deal with for life. Great review!

Boys also need a parent to communicate their needs to. You have to listen to everything to be able to recipicate the level of care a child needs.

This book talks about the important role that parents play in shaping their children's futures and how easy it is to drift apart without proper guidance in life. I can't even imagine what Xandria went through. I loved how this review highlighted all the important aspects of the book. Congratulations on BOTD!

Thank you for your amazing review. I agree that parents should listen to their children and make time for them. Every single child deserves to have a childhood filled with fond memories not those of trauma. Definitely a good book with valuable lessons for each of us. Kudos to botd

At times there are certain things we go through while growing up, these maybe hard both to the parents and children but one must not be a victim to circumstances. On the aspect of Xandria's mothershe might not have gotten the chance to understand her child which wasn't right l, children also go through hardships not only the parents. I recommend this book to all parents and those wishing to be one to read and maybe learn something.
