A perfect review, congrats! I agree with you, although I have only read the sample. The cove shows romance and the story does not begin as one at all.

I'm not an ardent reader of fictional stories. So, I'll pass this one on to ardent readers of it. Nonetheless, I love the author's writing style. The storyline was also engaging. Congrats on BOTD.

The reviewer's enthusiasm for the book's immersive storytelling style resonates with me. I'm intrigued by the way the author transported readers back to the 1800s, allowing them to experience the culture and conflicts of that era.

Migrating from one environment to another or changing from one house to another has its side effects which may tell on even the psychology of the immigrants. I hope the revelation the couple finds out won't be a dangerous one. The author did well with the style of writing.

The beginning of this review showed how intriguing the book is. I love suspense thrillers. Hence, Captain Jeffrey's story was a very relatable one. I hope they were able to fully settle into their new apartment. Congrats on BOTD.

It's been a minute since I read historical fiction tales. I would love to read through the scenes and find out how Jeffrey Chadwick and his household copes the migration experiences "during an extreme cold winter period." Congratulations on being the BOTD.

This book is clearly well-written, and I can notice some elements that interest me in a literary work. For example, I am curious to know what the landlord is up to. I like the characterization also. Recommended.
