I really can’t thank you enough for this thorough review. You are very convincing in your opinion of how great this story is, which is a feat because I typically don’t pause long over historical fiction novels. I will this time! Thanks again :)

I was immediately intrigued by the cover. I love historical fiction. Though I like stand alones, I am not against series. I love Les Miserable and your review. Thanks!

I love when writers do their work by researching. It seems this novel has been done concisely and precisely based on history with a touch of intrigue and suspense. Even though historical novels aren't really my favorite genre, this one seems worth a try. However, I'll wait for the next one in the series cause I hate cliffhangers.

Les Miserables is a definite 5-star novel, so if the Crimson Heirlooms is considered to be on par with this narrative, it must most certainly be a fantastic read.

Interesting! Les Misérables is a movie that I am very familiar with but I see that the only connection these two reads have is that they are close to the french history. I have to say that I'm captivated by the cover illustration it made me think, " I hope this book is as good as its cover illustration". Since the reviewer enjoyed this read I will take that word into account. Usually historical fiction is not my cup of tea, but I want to try this out. Thank you for your review!

An entertaining, well written historical novel that is definitely worth a second look. A great combination of historical story telling with more "modern" conspiracy novelty. Well done.

Despite my general dislike of historical fiction, you've nearly convinced me...

However, knowing it cliffhangs does not endear me to it.

Thanks for the review. It definitely sounds like a book that I can easily immerse myself into. Historical fiction is one of my go to genres so this book is right up my alley. It's also interesting to read about blackmailing schemes and somewhat like treasure hunting incorporated into the story.

Historical fiction is a hit or miss for me most of the time. However, the sample really intrigued me. French history is very fascinating, especially with the multiple revolutions.

I like historical fiction, the cover reminds me of the movie Elizabeth by Cate Blanchett. The review really makes me curious about "The Crimson Heirlooms".

Great review. Historical fiction is my favorite genre, but not all historical fiction books can keep my attention. After I read the sample, I debated on adding this book to my I Want To Read shelf. But after reading this review, I have the urge to slip on a delicate pair of French silk gloves and immerse myself into an tantalizing trip backwards into an exciting and mysterious period lost to none other than time itself. This book may become my next read.

Historical fiction is one of my favourite genres because it gives me alternative way yet fascinating to read histories. When I read the review, what came to mind is Led Miserables by Victor Hugo. This is definitely to read.
