I'm amused at how I was suckered by the cover; the title cast over the picture of a woman skews badly toward a well-worn cliché. So I'm pleasantly surprised that Rosenberg presents a fascinating story about a strong woman. The era also fascinates me.

Social conventions have changed along with civilization, and this book particularly shines in its portrayal of what it was like to be a woman in the past. With all the social norms that women must adhere to all the tyranny that comes with them. Good review!

A story based on true events sounds intriguing, especially if it is historical fiction. I am looking forward to seeing the protagonist stand up for herself despite society's restrictions. Congratulations on BOTD.

I had never heard of Baby Doe; she had a life full of obstacles but he did everything possible to survive. It must have been challenging working in a mine. The cover is a work of art; I love that portrait. An admirable story; however, I am not used to reading historical fiction, so I am not interested in this book. Thanks for the review.

It strikes me that it is a story that covers women's rights in the 1800s; it seems to be quite an informative read. Although I do not intend to read it, I hope to recommend it to my friends.

The story's creator has produced outstanding work. It's challenging to portray a real person without detracting from either tale or the true story. And Baby Doe is a fierce rebel who spoke out for rights when women didn't have any. Your review was excellent, and I would love to read the narrative. Many thanks

The chapters of this book starts with the location, month and year that the action takes place and this made it easier to follow the events and to check their authenticity. This showed how the author carried the readers along. It was lovely.

Historical fiction that talks about how Elizabeth agreed to marry a rich boy, Harvey, and followed him to Colorado, where he was to manage his father's gold mine, so that she could be able to send money home to her parent who had lost their home. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the book. Nice review.

Sound intriguing. Baby Doe is an exceptional example of a strong and self sufficient woman. Fighting against all odds even in a time when women had few rights in the society. I'll love to read this masterpiece. Thanks for the review on BOTD.
