Lord Hani is in a position where we term "between the devil and the deep blue sea". He needs to act and not just act, but he needs to act fast because it seems the hope of the people and his family are dependent on him. Interesting book by the looks of it. Beautiful review by the reviewer

I do not think that there's a perfectly accurate historical fiction book as there is no perfect author or writer. In terms of accuracy, they would connect the modern to the past without relevance because maybe they felt like things are better expressed in the modern sayings. Authors are not professional historians, I believe that's why they are called historical fiction, because they're not the historical reality but they still have the connection to history.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review, I would like to know more about the Egyptian culture!

The battle of thrones during this time provides great drama to read and Egypt has one of those historical stories that worth the read especially on the religious history of Egypt and its effect on modern Christianity and religion as a whole

This historical fiction novel is set in 1350BC Egypt when times were changing due to a new ideology and king. What sounds intriguing about this book its is immersive capabilities as it is written in an easy to read fashion. Specifically, the reader can follow the characters' story and feelings with ease. Congrats on the BOTD!

I'm not a huge fan of historical fiction books but this storyline sounds very captivating, especially as it tries to rewrite history based on discoveries. Congrats on being the book of the day!

I don't often read historical fiction, but the fact that I recently read one and loved it and that this book is set in ancient Egypt, makes me want to give it a try. I'm curious to see how Lord Hani deals with his problems. Thank you for the wonderful review!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction about an Egyptian royal emissary who has lost a good friend when the old pharaoh died and found a struggle when the new pharaoh declared it forbidden to celebrate other gods besides Atem. For a religious family man and a high ranking employee, the main character is stuck in a tight spot. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

"Bird in a Snare" by N.L. Holmes. An interesting historical story. It has lot to say about Egypt history and the gradual changing of their practicing culture. However, archaeological evidence has been discovered which affects the change. All these brought about betrayal, lose of livelihood and turning of friends to enemies. Congrats on your #BOTD.

I agree with you; history can be boring to read about. I am glad the author used language that can relate with today's society. It is such a shame that some unrealistic terminology made its way into the book, but I am sure this pales in comparison to how fun this book would be to read. Thanks for the review!

An interesting historical fiction novel "Bird in a Snare" by N.L. Holmes, which explores one of the most tumultuous times in the Egyptian history, when the worship of many gods was criminalised. This is a quite appealing book.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

My favorite historical site/era was ancient Egypt so I cannot wait to read this. It is a fictional book but I’m sure it is historically very educational too. Congratulations on book of the day!
