I like the author's story of self-discovery since it can provide encouragement and inspiration to others facing difficulty in life. I know I've had my fair share of hardships in life, and I can therefore appreciate where the author comes from. Thanks for the review.

This book clearly seems to talk about the childhood traumas that the author went through, neglect being one of them.

This is a very interesting book that contains a lot of lessons about childhood and parenting. The book talks about how parents should be mindful of who they let their children associate with or who they expose their children to. The book also talks about the importance of listening to their children. Nice review.

This review beautifully captures the transformative "journey" depicted in Ashley Becker-Whipple's book. The emphasis on life's uncertainties and personal growth resonates, making me intrigued to explore the author's narrative further.

I agree with the message of this book around the importance of parents having open communication and believing their children. It is a parent's role to ensure their children are safe and cared for. Thanks for a great review, and congrats to the author on BOTD 😊

Thanks for the review! It seems like a perfectly fine book, the premise and characterization don’t seem that interesting to me so I’ll pass. But I know a couple of people who might like it!

The story sounds interesting. Being a victim of circumstance is such a terrible thing but I'm glad that the author was able to find way through that to become so much more I'm life. This is a lesson to every individual. Congrats to the author.

I prefer suspense and action stories. But I do read a lot even outside of my favorite. Looking at the review, I do know that this thing happen. And a lot has to do with the parents and their ability to take care of their child and serve as an example. But I would not attribute it all to the parents. I would attribute a part of it to our society. Why are the parents like that? Why did they fail? Why were they allowed to behave that way? Is there no one to change this situation? How about the immediate surroundings of the child and the next caretaker of these children? Oh well, I think I know this story. But let me experience the emotions in this albeit indirectly, through an actual story. Is this non-fiction? It is an account of the author's life. And let me learn some more of the points of view especially that of the child growing up!

Our early years greatly influence the kind of person we become. It is crucial that parents recognise their responsibilities as mentors, educators, and role models and make an effort to grow and improve daily.
