It is guaranteed that I must shed tears while reading this book. Stories about the nazi war are always so heartbreaking. This is a nice review.

Nowadays the history of WWII is almost in books and TV. One more reminding of the horror of the war is needed. I’d like to read the book. Great review

I am a big fan of historical fiction and the title of the book caught my attention. However, reading the review of the author's account of harrowing experiences during the Nazi era, I would probably pass on the opportunity this time. Skilfully written review. Good job.

Sounds really sad what people had to endure during the Nazi Regime. I'm not fond of such stories, so I'll pass, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the review.

I am quite fond of historical fiction because it is based on true events that may have as well happened that way. This sounds like a good book to gain an understanding of the events that took place in Putten. Thanks for the review!

WW2 is a time period I like to read about. This historical fiction set from the women's perspective is something that interests me. Thanks for the review!

As much as I'm beginning to like historical fictions, I don't think reading about war crimes is for me.

I love how well-researched this book is. It would definitely be a good read for fans of historical fictions. Though I'm not a fan, I'm considering sampling it. And the book does seem emotionally overwhelming with the real descriptions of the horrors of war. Thank you for the detailed review, though.

I love historical fiction, although World War II isn’t my favorite time period to read about. Still, my grandpa was a little kid in the Netherlands during WWII, so I might want to read this book to get an idea of what at least one Dutch town had to suffer through under the Nazi regime. Thank you for the helpful review.

First of all the title of the book is good ''The weeping woman of Putten''. My best character in the book is Jennke I love her bold character. I recommend this book to be read by students who do literature and history because it involves the two disciplines. What makes me like the book more is the love of Jennke and the fiancee. This plot would make youth who are in love or about to fall in love like reading the book. But I must say that the events that happened in Putten were terrible to mankind as they distracted the peace in the area. The title portrays what is in the book and I really recommend this book for students studying history and literature.

A very compelling story that just draws you in. Easy to read and keeps you interested to the end. A clear reminder of the toll war and the Nazi regime has taken on so many families. The Weeping Woman is a book I would recommend to anyone; perhaps most highly to the younger generation of a world engaged in so much conflict.

Great review. I applaud the author (Alyce Bailey) for penning down a well crafted historical fiction book highlighting the Nazi war and Hitler's Totalitarian regime through those that experienced it firsthand. The cover does justice to the book, well done.

Dark times. Personally, I don't like to think or read about them. But I understand some people love to feel these emotions in the arts they consume. I have friends that do, and we understand the fact that our tastes are very different
