Thank you for sharing your review with us. I don’t particularly enjoy novels about war, so I think I will pass on this one.

This book is an exceptional historical fiction Complete with maps and illustrations. It shows readers how history came about and outlines the battles and events of the Great Sioux War fought in the late 1800s.
This is a perfect read for Historical fiction fans.
The review is great.

I love historical fiction because of the euphoric feeling that results from being transported back thorough time and space. Joshua, the protagonist, in this story shows how good it is to appreciate and understand other cultures.

I agree with the reviewer that the author is from a military background for him to write so well about the military. Nice review!

A good friendship is a relationship that can stand the test of time. Amidst chaos and war, friendship should still be maintained. I hope the friendship between the two young men should last. Great review. Congratulations on BOTD.

An interesting book and one that seems to be well contextualized. Good to know that despite being part of a series, this book stands well as a standalone. However, I'm not excited about the story, so I'll pass on this book at this time. Thanks for sharing this review!

I didn't connect well to this review, because I'm not an ardent lover of historical books. Lovers If it would find it interesting because the plot seems interesting. Congrats on BOTD.

The author has detailed events of the Great Sioux War through the two main characters' eyes, and it'll be interesting to follow their growth throughout the story. The author has done well to be as accurate as possible as well.

Although I don't practically go around looking for history books, I find this book fascinating since the review makes it even more interesting. I have always wanted to know what happened to Red indians in the past who originally created America, and what led to their population decrease, and this book is one I will learn from in the coming days.

I honestly have not read any novel about the American West mainly because I don't understand its appeal. After learning about the story's premise, I'm still not fascinated by the genre and, hence, won't read this book.
Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

I've always loved historical fiction. The more accurate the better. I'd love to see how Joshua and Shadow Hawk's relationship turns out in the tumultuous times. A very insightful review.
